As its Editor-In-Chief, I have been researching potential bureau heads and reviewers in a variety of regions and language communities, and found you via the World SF Blog.
I am writing to you to see if you are interested in joining us, whether as our Bureau Head or Coordinator for Indonesia or as a reviewer.
What a Bureau Head does is write (or have a delegate write) one article a month covering the genre fiction scene in the country or language community that he or she represents. This can be a discussion of a specific issue, an overview of the genre scene in that language community or country, or a review of a specific magazine or anthology. Coordinators do the same things as Bureau Heads but only have to produce a few pieces a year; this can be a good fit for folks who don't have much time to write for us, or who cover regions which they feel do not have much activity.
If you don't feel up to that level of involvement, I'd also be happy to have you on as a reviewer, which would mean that we would generally assign you stuff to write about, but you could still write about genre activity in any regions with which you are familiar or languages in which you are fluent on a case by case basis.
There's no money involved -- this is a labor of love. We might set up Google AdWords to cover hosting costs, but that's unlikely.
If you are unable to participate, I hope that you can recommend someone else you know who might be available and interested. I am grateful for your assistance.
